Romantic stay at Hafjell

Two storehouses from before 1730 have been converted into four spectacular suites. The timber was originally felled in Numedal, and Johannes spent six years transforming them from a granary into what has now been named one of the world's most romantic hotels. All suites have a gas fireplace, underfloor heating, handmade bathtubs, wine cabinets with red, white, rosé and bubbly, and continental beds from Svane.

Breakfast at the hotel, some bubbly as a welcome, a minibar with local products and access to all hotel facilities. Three of the suites also have a private day bed with views of the valley.

Hafjell Golf Course is a 9-hole parkland course located on the property. Close by you will find the Nordic region's only 18-hole mini golf course on real grass. Clubs and balls can be borrowed at the reception. In addition, we have two wood-fired hot tubs (open all year round), a sauna, an outdoor heated swimming pool (in summer), fitness room, fireplace lounge with library and Gudbrandsdalen's largest terrace at 110 square metres.

Hafjell Bike Park is the country's leader for lift-based cycling, with 15 trails and 28 kilometres. The gondola transports you and your bike to the top. Hunderfossen Adventure Park, Lilleputthammer and the Children's Farm are minutes away. The pilgrim path, hiking in Øyerfjellet, golf and the steam ship Skibladner on Mjøsa are also good options.

Lillehammer is only 15 minutes from Nermo. Maihaugen is one of Norway's largest open-air museums with over 200 buildings and a stave church from the 1200s. The Olympic Park with Lysgårdsbakkene and a chairlift to the top. Lillehammer Art Museum, designed by Snøhetta. Storgata, the high street with shops and restaurants. Throughout the year, Lillehammer offers the Norwegian Festival of Literature, DølaJazz, Lillehammer Live and Birkebeinerrennet.
