Restaurant Nermostuene

Restaurant Nermostuene has been serving guests for almost a hundred years

When the main building was completed in 1933, guests finally had a proper dining room. Previously, they had dined in the living room of the farm, shoulder to shoulder with the Nermo family. Today, Restaurant Nermostuene houses several rooms of different sizes.

Several dining rooms, just one kitchen

Restaurant Nermostuene is not just one restaurant, but several dining rooms under the same roof. The large dining room welcomes most guests, but we also have smaller rooms that are suitable for parties, company dinners or a quieter evening with just a few diners around the table. Common to all is the view, the food and the feeling of being somewhere with real history in the walls.

Our menu

The restaurant prepares food according to the season. This means that the menu changes throughout the year, but some dishes are too well established to remove. The moose patties. The homemade apple cake with locally brewed beer. And the crumble that has rounded off dinners at Nermostuene for over a hundred years.

In the summer, much of the cooking is moved outside. Our Yoder Smoker gives the meat a smoky taste that belongs to summer, while Gudbrandsdalen's largest terrace of 110 sqm becomes an extension of the dining room. In addition, we always set out a cold buffet with Norwegian classics.

Down the stairs from the reception you will find the Nermostuene wine cellar.

Book a table for breakfast, lunch or dinner

Nermostuene is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You don't have to stay at the hotel to eat here, but we recommend you reserve a table for dinner.

The small storehouse

A glass of sparkling wine and homemade cured ham served with a frame of 300-year-old timber. In the storehouse, you can gather a small group together before dinner and enjoy a quiet drink with a view of the farmyard.

Breakfast

At our restaurant Nermostuene, the day starts with fresh waffles, freshly baked bread, local cheeses and homemade jam. Breakfast and coffee are included for all guests in the hotel, the farmhand suites and the storehouse suites. If you are staying in an apartment, breakfast can be ordered separately.

Grill buffet

When summer arrives, much of the cooking moves outdoors. The largest terrace in Gudbrandsdalen, measuring 110 square meters, becomes a natural extension of the dining room, and it is often here that guests gather after a day in the mountains.
